Your role at Clorox: The Assistant Facility Manager has responsibility for the facility management discipline within designated sites and sometimes expanding into an area or region. This position supports the role of the Sr. Facilities Manager by overseeing building operations, program compliance, and day-to-day management of various facility locations while ensuring the delivery of high levels of customer service. This includes ensuring the facilities are in good condition and support the daily needs of our employees through: long term capital planning, managing 3-rd party providers (building management, security, janitorial, etc.) and overseeing expense, maintenance, and construction projects. In this role, you will: Assist with management of all corporate managed facilities ensuring compliance with all code requirements and company policy while ensuring the facilities meet the daily needs of employees. This includes ensuring all preventives and reactive maintenance activities are completed timely, appropriate levels of security are maintained, and all janitorial services are performed timely. Oversee other key managed services in the Pleasanton Campus and Oakland offices including: Food Services Shredding Services Office Supplies Document Storage Services Support the Sr. Facilities Manager in the management of other corporate facilities as needed, both domestic and international which may exceed 15 sites and 1 million square feet of administrative office space. Assist the Sr. Facilities Manager to prepare and manage facility related budgets, develop and support implementation of cost savings initiatives, and identify and implement process improvement opportunities for all managed facilities. This includes the long and short range capital plans as well as the operating budgets for each facility. Provide thought leadership and leverage peer and industry best practices to drive process improvements including identifying, creating and implementing initiatives to maximize value, reduce risk and minimize cost. Assist to identify, plan and execute capital and facility improvement projects. Ensuring the projects meet the identified stakeholder objectives while staying within approved budgets. Assist with business Continuity planning, Crisis Response Team, invoice and accrual management, internal control certifications. Assist with management of outsourced Facilities Management vendor Assist with annual development and management of the operation What we look for: BS/BA or equivalent experience 5-7 years of relevant work experience A minimum of five (3) years’ experience in a leadership position supporting facilities, building operations, or experience in property management managing large or multi-site locations Customer-oriented with strong customer service skills Superior client relationship management skills Ability to plan and manage budgets totaling $5-10M Strong communication skills with ability to communicate and work across all levels of the organization. Demonstrate ability to think critically and problem solve Ability to successfully work as part of a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong project management skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Strong writing skills and ability to communicate efficiently with customers, stakeholders and vendors.
